We might all take it for granted, but breath is life. Once we cut off the breath, we cut off the life.

That’s why we must remain mindful of our breathing, as the inhale/exhale exchange is critical to establishing a mindful awareness.

Close your eyes – it doesn’t matter where you are. You can be in a crowded train station or at your desk at work. Start breathing slowly through your nose, exhaling stale/tired energy and inhaling fresh/empowering energy.

Thoughts that are darting through your mind will ease and slowly dissapate. You will be mindful only if your breath as you drift off to a place located between the conscious and unconscious. Any amount of time you can do this is great, from 5 seconds to 5 minutes.
